Steelers Announce Quarterback Details for Jacksonville

Welcome to Steel City News. At the press conference this morning, Coach Tomlin officially announced the quarterback order for Saturday night’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. According to Coach Tomlin Mitch Trubisky will start then 2nd to take the field will be Kenny Pickett and third will be Mason Rudolph. This lineup makes sense. The Steelers will start with Starter Mitch Trubisky with his experience of five year’s in the league with over 10,000 passing yards and a 64% completion rate with a passer rating of 87. He was brought on to get things done and from what we’ve seen he can deliver. The Steelers want to see more of how Kenny Pickett plays at this level. Kenny has a lot going for him. His Three years starting at Pitt gave him excellent leadership development and that transfers over nicely, Kenny is definitely comfortable at Home games since he has played on the same field while at Pitt. I can understand that The Steelers want to see him play in an away game away from his comfort zone of Pittsburgh. I hope we see some more good thing from him in Jacksonville this weekend. Mason will come in last but that doesn’t mean he’s been demoted! We already know Mason Rudolph’s capabilities so there is less of a need for him to have too many reps in this game. Here is what Coach Tomlin had to say about the decision.
