The Western Pennsylvania Bowling High School Regional Championships

It was a big day for bowling at North Versailles Bowl where The Western Pennsylvania High School Regional Championships took place. It was a full day of competition for thirty eight teams starting at 9am and finishing up around 5pm. First Place Western Pennsylvania Regional Team trophies were awarded to The Penn Trafford Girls Team and The Norwin Boys Team.

Six Boys teams and Six Girls teams who bowled in the finals will be representing Our Western Pennsylvania Region in The State Championships next week.  The Boys Teams representing us will be Quarterfinalists Beaver Falls and Ambridge. Semifinalists Hempfield and Armstrong. Runner up Plum and Western Pennsylvania Regional Champion  Norwin. The Girls Teams representing us will be Quarter Finalists McKeesport and Penn Hills. Semifinalists Burrell and Greensburg Salem, Runner up Erie McDowell and Western Pennsylvania Regional Champion Penn Trafford. For Individual Awards 2nd highest game girls went to Johanna Rinderle of Erie McDowell  with 240, and First place went to Madison Shank of Penn Trafford with a game of 245. For The boys 2nd highest game went to Levi Garris of Hempfield 267. First Place went to Nick Archocki of Cambridge Springs 268. Girls 2nd highest series went to Norwin’s Rachael Lundy with a 610 and First place went to Johanna Rinderle of McDowell with  632. Boys High Series 2nd place went to Ty Kirkpatrick of Plum with a 687. And First Place went to Austen Grecko of Hempfield with a 693………….. Now let’s take a look at some highlights.
