PITTSBURGH — The Steelers have signed both offensive lineman Rashaad Coward and running back Kalen Ballage to one-year contracts, it was announced today.
Coward originally signed with Chicago as an undrafted free agent out of Old Dominion in 2017. He has played in 30 career games (15 starts), including 13 games (10 starts) in 2019 and 16 games (five starts) last season. Coward has started at right guard (11), left guard (three) and right tackle (one) over his career. He was released by the Bears prior to the start of the 2017 season but was quickly signed to Chicago’s practice squad. Coward was ultimately promoted to the Bears active squad in December 2017 where he remained for the last three seasons.
