Coach Tomlin addressed the media today and told us that The Steelers recognize This Sunday’s challenge of opening the season on the road and in a hostile environment and that’s Cleveland Browns territory. The Cleveland Browns are a new group in a lot of ways and will present some challenges. Coach Tomlin says that he has a lot of respect for The Brown’s starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor, he’s new to the Browns but not new to us. The Steelers competed against him in 2016 when defeating the Buffalo Bills. During that game he completed 15 0f 25 passes for 228 yards. Coach say he will challenge us. When asked about if Le’Vion Bell is expected tomorrow, coach said We’ll see, and didn’t have much to say except that when he gets here we can start quantifying Le’Vion Bell Things. Coach says he is focused on the players that are here now. Concerning the release of Landry jones, Coach Tomlin says that it was a difficult decision and that it wasn’t about what Jones did or didn’t do, but more about what Josh Dobbs did when presented with very tangible challenges, didn’t shrink in the face of it and in fact rose up against it and provided consistent play. He says it was a full body of his work. Coach told us how The Steelers expect a lot from second year players in terms of growth and development and That Dobbs as well as James Conner have both displayed that. When it comes to Vance McDonald, Coach is expecting him to be at least a partial participant tomorrow. Antonio Brown is also expected to be Full-Go on Sunday.
