PITTSBURGH — The Steelers have signed punter Jordan Berry to a one-year contract, it was announced today.
Berry punted 57 times for 2,609 yards (45.8 yards/punt), including 40.5 net yards/punt, in 2020. He twice recorded season-long punts of 62 yards in both Week 9 at Dallas and Week 10 vs. Cincinnati. Berry also dropped 23 punts inside the opponents’ 20-yard line.
Berry was originally signed by Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent in 2015 out of Eastern Kentucky. He ranks fourth in franchise history in career punts (385) and third in career punting average (min. 100 punts — 44.4). Berry owns the top three single-season net punting averages in franchise history (min. 40 punts), including a franchise record in 2019 (40.9).
