PITTSBURGH – The Steelers activated guard Matt Feiler and linebacker Robert Spillane to the 53-man roster, elevated tight end Kevin Rader to the Active/Inactive roster from the practice squad and waived linebacker Tegray Scales.
Feiler began each of the 13 games of the season at left guard before suffering an injury in Week 14 during the Buffalo game.
Spillane played in the Steelers first 12 games this season, starting seven contests (Week 7-13) before then suffering an injury during game week 13 while playing Washington. Spillane registered 43 tackles, four passes defensed, four tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, 2.0 sacks, one fumble recovery and one interception return for TD (at Baltimore in Week 7).
He played for Youngstown State and Pine-Richland. He played his first NFL game during Week 17 while playing Cleveland. Rader registered three tackles during while on special teams.
