Pittsburgh Steelers Agree to Terms with LB Jayrone Elliott

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers have agreed to terms with linebacker Jayrone Elliott. Jayrone Elliott signed with The Pittsburgh Steelers as a free agent on August 22, 2019 before being released on August 24th, 2019. Jayrone Elliott played in two of the four Pittsburgh Steelers preseason games this season. Elliott recorded six tackles, 0ne sack and a fumble recovery.

During the last Steelers preseason game with Carolina, Jayrone Elliott returned a fumble 88 yards for a touchdown. Jayrone Elliott played in 47 career games at Toledo and accumulated a total of 124 tackles, 70 solo stops, 22.5 tackles for loss as well as 16 sacks. Jayrone Elliot recorded 70 tackles, fourteen for loss, nine sacks and five forced fumbles as a senior in 2013.

The Steelers also signed rookie quarterback Devlin Hodges to the practice squad.This takes the practice squad up to the ten player limit.
